House off the Ground
nanometer architecture
- Outline
- A house for a family of four built on a site with a difference in elevation. The existing slope, which was originally a field, was preserved and the volume was floated with four pillars. The entrance is located at the back of the house after climbing a staircase and a slope, and the slope is incorporated into the daily life of the house. The concrete blocks and cement stairs seen on the right are remnants of the field days.
