Triangle Lattice House
Shigeru Ban Architects
- Outline
- A two-story wooden villa built on a site facing the sea with a bamboo grove on the west side. The 2-meter-high eaves protrude from a single room of approximately 9 meters square. The roof is constructed with a two-by-two wood truss between two sheets of structural plywood. The exterior wall on the west side is composed of stacked stressed skin panels, with glass and aluminum push edges. The trusses, like the roof, are placed at a pitch of 303 mm. To the right of the terrace is the bathroom.
