- The designer's own residence stands on a site with a bed of eels characteristic of kyoto. the interior is a colonnaded space that extends to the rear of the building, bisecting it in the longitudinal direction, drawing into the building the experience of the narrow alleys that can be found in this area. the position of the openings is determined by the relationship with the neighboring houses. the interior is flexible in planning, using the colonnade as a guide, allowing the furniture and furnishings to be transformed according to the lifestyle of the moment.
