lantern house
TAKAHARU+YUI TEZUKA /TEZUKA ARCHITECTS Hirofumi Ohno/OHNO JAPAN
- Outline
- The load is supported by the core in the center of the building, and all the perimeter of the building is surrounded by sashes and shoji screens. By placing the fittings in the corners, an open space is created without any sense of boundary between inside and outside. The double-sided shoji screens cast abstract shadows of the trees in the room, and at night they create the appearance of paper lanterns while ensuring privacy.
