House in Sendai "Okinaki"

Outline
With the central wall pillar as the axis, a 3.6-meter square four-grid rice paddy-shaped plan is used to create a room with five skip floors. The wall pillars, like trees, become smaller on the lower floors and larger on the upper floors, creating an open relationship between rooms in public areas such as the dining room and living room, and enclosed rooms in areas where privacy is required, such as the bedrooms.
