House with Vertical Corridor

Outline
This is a ceramic artist's studio and house with a small gallery open to the community, where the earthen floor on the first floor is the creative space with a potter's wheel and kiln, and the second floor is the private living space for the couple, surrounded by a sloping corridor as a gallery along the two sides of the street. The interior walls are bearing walls and the exterior walls are not, which makes it possible to open long horizontal windows and to create square niches for storing and exhibiting works.
