AWAJI NINGYO JORURI THEATER

Outline
This is a temporary evacuation site and theater for Awaji puppet theater in the event of a tsunami disaster caused by the Tonankai and Nankai earthquakes, located near Fukura Port on the southern tip of Awaji Island. The first floor is a pilotis and the second and higher floors are used as an evacuation site and theater in anticipation of a tsunami. The main structure is made of reinforced concrete, with a series of walls enclosing the required rooms in a figure-eight pattern, giving continuity to the entire interior space.
