- A French restaurant and its owner's family residence. The architecture is not built on the earth, but is submerged in the earth, creating a new relationship between the earth and architecture. Concrete is poured into an uneven pit three meters deep in the ground, and a concrete frame is formed by scraping out the soil that has become the formwork. The soil clings to the structure, giving it a cave-like appearance. Although the building is a new construction, the design from the beginning includes the value of antiquity in the form of aging and dirt. The design of this building, which embraces antiquity, connects the distant past with the infinite future.
