- In a competition for a new high-speed railroad station, Isozaki and Sasaki proposed a structure with a fluid form derived by phase optimization, which searches for a mechanically optimal shape. Named "Flux Structure" by Isozaki, a similar idea was later realized at the Qatar National Convention Center (2011).
