- The capital of the Indian state of Punjab. The functions of the city correspond to the structure of the human body, and the new city spreads out from the Capital Complex, which consists of the Capitol Building (lower left), the High Court (upper right and middle right), and the General Administration Building (lower right), which is likened to the head of a man. The city is organized into a grid of "sectors," each of which (1.2 km x 0.8 km) is designed to be complete for "living," "working," and "leisure. This is the only urban plan by Le Corbusier that has been realized.
