- The largest of the three halls in the Southbank Center complex. It is known as one of the early works that established Modernism in London and was referenced throughout the world. The building was constructed by the LCC (LondonCountyCouncil), which later evolved into the GLC (GreaterLondonCouncil), and its interior spaces are open to the public free of charge every day under the "OpenFoyer'policy" introduced in 1983. The interior space is open to the public free of charge every day.
