Outline: FLAPS, the commercial facility adjacent to Nagareyama Otakanomori Station, Chiba Prefecture, the station square, and the plaza deck. FLAPS, shown on the left, is a convex volume set back on the north and east sides in the shape of a dais. It gives a three-dimensional line of flow and perspective to the town that spreads out on a flatland. On the terrace of the dais, the potential vegetation of the area is planted to increase the green visibility of the urban landscape.
