- Kochi City, Kochi Prefecture - The building of the Kochi Prefecture Municipal Office Association, which consists of municipalities in Kochi Prefecture. The building houses the offices of related organizations. In addition to serving as a place for exchanging opinions and collecting information, and as a training facility, the building can be occupied by related offices of Kochi Prefecture and other public organizations. As Kochi Prefecture has the largest forest area in Japan, a lot of wood is used in the building. A seismic isolation layer is installed in the middle of the first and second floors, and a three-story fire-resistant wooden structure is placed on top of the reinforced concrete structure of the first and third floors. The wooden structure is constructed with wooden braces, high load-bearing walls, and CLT panels.
