Outline
A 44-year-old wooden rental apartment was renovated. 5 of the 8 units were vacant and deteriorating. We applied our original renovation method, "Mokutin Recipe," to renovate the building into a wooden rental apartment with new value for the residents and owner. Although the renovation operations are partial and trivial, they reveal previously unnoticed charms. The aim is for each space to gradually regain its relationship with the surrounding environment, and for the wooden rental apartment to become an entity that reorganizes the connections of the community.
