SENKAJYO GALLERY

Outline
Renovation of a house built on a slope in the Ikeda district of southern Shodoshima. While the main house is left unchanged, the roofs and exterior walls of the storehouse, fruit packing house, livestock shed, and garage, all of which were built in a row on the slope, are re-roofed with galvanized steel sheet, and their uses are changed to a bakery, cafe, fruit packing house, and gallery. The use of the building has been changed to a bakery, café, fruit cellar, and gallery, with the aim of creating an appearance that blends in with the community.
