ISHIJIMA ARCHITECTS＋GO KOMATSU ARCHITECTS

Outline: This is the reconstruction plan of the Yuriage Wakaba Kindergarten in Natori City, Miyagi Prefecture, which was damaged by the Great East Japan Earthquake. The kindergarten has been reconstructed by relocating it from Yuriage to Mitazono, where the damage is so great that the reconstruction project to raise the land has not yet started. Considering that the kindergarten will eventually return to Yuriage, the nursery building is planned as a temporary building that can be moved using a wooden structure and a membrane roof. A corridor surrounds the nursery building and connects the multipurpose room and the office.
