DAIBIRU HONKAN

Outline
This is the third phase of the Nakanoshima 3-chome joint development project planned by Daibiru, together with Kansai Electric Power Co. and Kanden Real Estate Co. The low-rise portion of the building is a reconstruction of the exterior of the former Daibiru main building (completed in 1925, design director: Setsu Watanabe, chief draftsman: Togo Murano). The bricks and stone sculptures, which were removed one by one during the demolition of the old building, were reused. On the upper floors, stone louvers are installed as exterior mullions to harmonize with the stone frame of the Nakanoshima Daibiru Building, which is adjacent to the east (back).
