Outline
One of the projects of Setouchi International Art Festival 2013 Shodoshima, Hishio no Sato + Sakate Port. The site is owned by the mayor of Shodoshima, and is surrounded by soy sauce warehouses and tsukudani (food boiled in soy sauce) shops. 3 million yen was raised to procure materials, and a simplified construction method was chosen so that anyone can build the building. After the Triennial, the building will be used as a community center for local residents.
