Outline: This nursery school is located in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture, and has a total of 133 children. It is surrounded by residential buildings on three sides, and was planned to be closed so as to block the view and sound from the neighborhood as well as the view and sound from inside the school. In the nursery, the younger classes are arranged from the back and the older and more active classes are arranged from the front. The glued laminated wood structure is designed to create a gentle undulation on the roof surface by gradually changing the slope of the main beams with canes to resist horizontal forces.
