HongDae Project

Outline
A commercial complex with five floors above ground and four floors below ground in Seoul, Korea. It houses shops and multi-purpose event spaces. The exterior walls are 24 mm thick double-glazed curtain walls installed using the SSG method, in which the sashes do not appear. The yellowish-orange glass is a frit pattern baked on. The building has a complex polyhedral shape due to road diagonals and setbacks from the sidewalk.
