Umihiko Cho＋Rika Hori＋Yoshie Kawase

Outline: Four detached houses were developed within a scattered settlement of farmhouses dotted across the flat agricultural land. The existing estate forest, featuring a wide range of vegetation from conifers to broadleaf trees, was preserved, with each house named after one of its trees. No fences separate the four houses; instead, the entire area flows together gently. All trees and the large and small round stones (gravel) were retained from the original site.
