Mixed living in Higashimukojima

Outline: A 40-year-old three-story steel-frame house with a narrow lot with a frontage of 4 m and a depth of 8 m facing a residential road was acquired and renovated into the designer's own residence. The entrance sash line on the first floor was lowered to widen the pilotis space, and the balcony on the second floor was demolished to open the building to the city. The building was planned as a place that does not occupy all but the minimum private space required by the original plan.
