House in Umenoki
Hidekazu Kishi Architects
- Outline
- The designer's own residence for a family of three stands in a residential area where fields and houses are intermingled. A group of small rooms surround the living space in the center of the site with gaps between them, and several small roofs float in the air. The house is intertwined with its surroundings, which are a mixture of various uses and volumes, with a community meeting hall on the northwest side and a newly built apartment building adjacent on the northeast side.
