House in Ekiya

Outline
A house for a family of five built in a location where fields and houses intersect. Three gabled roofs stand in a row over the rice paddies. The volume of the building is distributed by dividing the building into separate buildings to reduce the height and blend in with the surroundings. A lattice door leads to the entrance approach. The exterior walls connecting the two buildings are covered with Japanese cedar boards and painted black, and the walls of each building are covered with burnished cedar boards and paneled.
