YAGOTO HOUSE

Outline
A house for a family of four in an undulating residential area. The area is subject to a strict greening ordinance with a building-to-land ratio of 30% to protect the environment. The family lived in the two-story reinforced concrete house in the lower center of the photo, but bought an additional lot on the upper side with an adjacent view. In response to a request for a one-story house that is typical of the sloping terrain, a one-story addition was added to connect the second floor of the existing building, creating a house in which life unfolds in a continuous manner. The existing building was renovated by removing the partition wall on the second floor and placing a water closet.
