Boundary - Redefined House

Outline: An 80-year-old house was renovated in order to pass it on to the next generation of grandchildren. The exterior skin of the existing building was reduced on all four sides, set back to the desired pillar positions, and new exterior walls were added. The interior space was originally used as an exterior space under the roof. For structural reinforcement, a method of construction was devised in which the foundation was renewed one pillar at a time, without jacking up the entire building.
