- A house for a family of four with an apple orchard. The roof and northeast wall were double-layered to create a ventilation layer, using the okiyane construction method, which prevents radiant heat from being transmitted inside. The trees thinned to preserve the surrounding satoyama are used as firewood for the stove, and rainwater is stored and used for crops.
