Yusuke Ohi＋Taeko Nakatsubo

Outline: Renovation of one room in a 50m2 apartment complex. The existing partition was removed, leaving traces of the frame that had appeared, and three pieces of furniture (sleeping box, bookshelf, and kitchen table) gently divide the space, juxtaposing the old and new. The existing partition pillars and beams in front of the sleeping box provide a place for the cats. The wall paintings on the fittings of the bookshelves are illustrations from the children's book "Goodnight, Otsukisama" (1979, Hyoronsha), which has been read around the world. The wall was painted by the owner's family together with a wall painter.
