- It is built in a residential area in the heart of tokyo where samurai residences stood in the edo period. after the meiji restoration, land began to be subdivided into smaller lots, and narrow lots were densely built in what is now a hilly area. in order to create a continuous ridge line with the townscape, which is forested with various slanted roofs, two terraces were planned by extending the exterior wall on the south side to create a buffer space between the interior and exterior.
