- The designer's own residence is located in the yamagata basin, surrounded by mountains. solar panels are mounted on the vaulted roof that wraps the space with openings along the vertical and horizontal axes, and snow falls on the south side of the house. the architecture was conceived to form an environment that makes optimal use of natural energy sources such as sunlight, rainwater, and well water, and to take advantage of the circulation from the magnificent nature of the area with its heavy snowfall.
