Outline: The house is located in a residential area developed before world war ii. two square volumes are connected by a staircase, with a courtyard in the middle and a rear courtyard at the far end to create a sense of space in relation to the streetscape and surrounding environment. the interior is almost entirely undivided, but the columns divide the space and create areas.
