- A house for a couple in the suburbs of tokyo. on the east facade, a high window overlooks the forest of a nearby shrine, while a low window softens the light from outside and brings it into the room. in the continuous one-room space with overlapping areas, changes in ceiling height, window positions, and light from the windows define the place. depth is given by shading, creating an expanse that is larger than the area of the room.
