- To the west is a children's park, beyond which the elevated shinkansen line runs, and to the south, a 12-story condominium stands across the road and parking lot. on the large site, which has been lived in for generations, three terraced volumes are arranged so as not to block the sunlight from the existing house. the courtyard is enclosed with the existing house. the three buildings are placed at different angles on the plan, creating a number of small voids that bring in the surrounding environment from various angles.
