- The building is located in a residential area in the suburbs of Mito. The site is surrounded by the schoolyard of an elementary school on three sides and borders the main house on the north. The entrance on the west side is a sliding glass door with an opening on the opposite east side, allowing the view to the greenery of the school to pass through. The height of the rooftop terrace is kept at 3m above the ground level, and the vaulted roof structure on the second floor is made by connecting pieces cut out with a CNC router in an arc shape.
