Tanima House
Go Kuwata Architects & Associates
- Outline
- This is an office and a residence built on a flagpole site in a commercial district. The site is surrounded by mid- and high-rise buildings except for an alley leading to the front road. The volumes are arranged on the north and south sides of the site, and a glass-walled stairwell is placed in the center of the site where it can be seen from the alley, creating a "valley of buildings" within the site and leaving a blank space connected to the flagpole.
