Regeneration of the town house | in Kasaichi
LLP Kominka Saisei no Kai | Osamu Akasaka/ | Kanazawa Architectural Design Office Inc. | Toru Yoshida/U+Architects |
- Outline
- This machiya was built in the early Meiji period using materials diverted from the Edo period, but the building had been greatly lifted and altered into a signboard structure. The traces of the pillars were traced and a reconstruction drawing was made to prove that it was originally a machiya, and the renovation was subsidized by Kanazawa City. The kitchen is located on the street side, and indoor light leaks into the streetscape. Wakasa Construction / Go Akasaka / Kanazawa Design by Toru Yuda / Yu Plus / Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture
