This house is built on a residential development site by the Noto River in Nara. The north garden is designed to connect with the scenery of the river, and the staircase roof descends toward the river. The lattice roof minimizes the earthquake-resistant walls that block the view, and the top light, high side light, and parapet provide light and ventilation.
