The Corner House in Kitashirakawa

Outline
The building stands in a residential area with abundant greenery and a mixture of old and new houses. A large pitched roof with a diagonal ridge is placed on the site, and "bands" with various functions are used on the façade to create a unique unevenness. The bands also enter into the interior and function as shelves and benches.
