Kawamata Yuinoie

Outline
This is a wooden house with a large single-flow roof that blends in with the ridge line of a small mountain on the west side of the site. The large entrance hall with a wood-burning stove is connected to the living room and the second floor as if it were a single room. The air flow is designed so that cool breezes are drawn in through the ventilation window at the kitchen door on the north side and a ground window, and warm air is discharged through a high window on the second floor.
