House in Tajiri

Outline
The site is a long and narrow remnant left by the construction of a prefectural road, and is sandwiched between a fishing port and an intersection. The volume, which is 40m long in the longitudinal direction, has sandblasted exterior walls and is intended to blend in with the embankment and port facilities as it ages. Inside, the volumes are arranged in a north-south direction while keeping a distance between the two households, and an external staircase and a bridge lead to a one-storied line of life that directly connects the rooms with the outside.
