Outline: This is a plan to convert a three-story building in a commercial district into a residence. The survey confirmed that the building was a steel frame structure and that it would be more economical to reinforce it than to demolish it and build a new building. The layout of the stairwells that connect each level, the incorporation of the scale of the residence while making the most of the scale of the building, and the lighting and ventilation that take into account the relationship with the surrounding buildings are all considered.
