A house in Touji

Outline: The main house was over 100 years old and had been repeatedly expanded and remodeled, resulting in problems with flow lines and insulation. The "street garden" and the dining room and kitchen, which had originally been the back of the house, were combined into a large "family room" and reconfigured as the center of the house. The interconnecting surfaces of the rooms were made into a house shape and assembled.
