forest house in a forest
Kousuke Izumi
- Outline
- The house is built on a plateau where plants grow in abundance, and the difference in elevation of the original site is utilized directly in the rooms. While setting up sticks at the site, the way of seeing the greenery suited to each place was studied, and the volumes assembled in a flying geese formation like interlocking squares show a complex connection. The walls, both inside and outside, are built of Teppei stone piled up on top of each other.
