House in Shioya

Outline
This house is located on a site with a wonderful view of the Seto Inland Sea. The house has a simple plan that takes advantage of the view and maximizes the comfort of the natural wind and light, and a terrace with deep eaves that protects the interior from the sea breeze and sunlight. The structural materials are louvered to allow soft sunlight to enter the interior, creating a place whose expression changes with the seasons and weather.
