House in Yutenji
Watanabe Yasushi architect & associates
- Outline
- This house has an earthen floor planted with ash trees and hackberry trees. Light is brought in through ground windows and openings in the third-floor terrace, and rain can fall from a rain shower attached to the ceiling. By arranging the rooms, stairs, and fittings around the atrium space with plants, the house raises questions about the way families are connected and the way houses should be.
