House at Kaminohara
Sachiko Yagi/NASCA
- Outline
- This is a house for a family whose work involves a villa in Tateshina. The theme of the villa and the courtyard is based on my experience of living in a Kasbah house surrounded by a courtyard in the Moroccan desert. Various considerations were given to the construction of the openings and the foundations in order to create a villa that differs from conventional houses in terms of climate, security while away from home, and independence without relying heavily on infrastructure.
