Veil
go sunaga/survival design
- Outline
- In response to the surrounding environment, in which fields have been replaced by houses and there are many vacant lots, a veil (green ivy climbing up the gutter and rope) is lowered from the eaves to create a buffer zone around the exterior. In addition, a prism-shaped courtyard is embedded in the center of the simple rectangular plan, creating a mysterious sense of perspective through reflection by diffuse reflection of the surrounding landscape. The structure of the building is based on the axial woodblock structure developed by Sunaga.
