House in Noda

Outline
Renovation of an 80-year-old townhouse. By connecting rooms that had been divided into small sections, creating a hall with a vaulted ceiling that shows off the existing structure by reducing the size of the building, and using existing elaborately designed items such as balustrades and fittings as they are, a fusion of the old and the new was achieved, while taking into consideration the ease of use for the residents.
