House in Maitamon
Kenji Yanagawa+kobe design university Saiki Research Office
- Outline
- The house is built on a triangular shaped slope with almost no flat land and a slope of 30 degrees from north to south. Each floor has a different level along the slope, and where it touches the soil, the soil is held in place with the minimum necessary concrete walls and foundations. In order to reduce the volume from the street on the mountain side as much as possible, the house is divided into two buildings, a main building and a detached building, and connected by external spaces such as a deck space and a bridge, creating a continuity between inside and outside.
