COURT HOUSE

Outline
On a site that was once a rural area and is now being converted into a densely populated residential area, the courthouse form was chosen as a device to bring nature back to the center of life. The indoor environment is designed to take advantage of the relatively mild climate of the region, and to be open to the pleasant climate of the middle period. Emphasis is placed on ventilation and lighting, with two-way ventilation openings in each room, ventilation in the walls and ceilings, and eaves to actively control daylight.
